Switzerland
---------------------------------------------------
Over the summer, my family and I traveled to Switzerland. First we visited the peaceful area of Zermatt, then, we ventured to the bustling city of Zurich.
Zermatt
----------------------------------
Zermatt was definitely a favorite of mine! The mountains and views were breathtaking, and the environment was especially clean. There are not any cars that run on gas in Zermatt, being environmental friendly. It was very refreshening and easy to walk around in this area. Because it wasn't a big town, it was very easy finding our way around and looking for stores, restaurants, etc.

Up on the Mountain...
we took a ride on a lift and ventured up the mountains! We took the unlimited lift to enjoy the scenery multiple times, and you could see the whole town from up above. There were multiple stops where you could get off, so we went to a high part of Mt. Matterhorn at about 12,000ft above ground. At that point you could already see all the snow on the mountains, so it got a bit chilly!

In the Glacier Palace...
once we reached the top of the mountain, we visited the "Matterhorn Glacier Paradise" that was inside a real glacier. Before entering...we also got a cup of hot chocolate. This ice palace was full of ice sculptures and snow drawings- truly fascinating!

On the train...
the next day, we rode up the mountain to get a closer view of Matterhorn. It was crazy how sunny and bright it was!

the pond was shimmering and I was so up close to Mt. Matterhorn - it was breathtaking! The mountain had a fascinating, pointy shape, making it very unique compared to the rest of the mountains.

Zurich
----------------------------------
Zurich is the capital of Switzerland. My family and I spent the last couple of days in this city so we took our time to enjoy the area and explore some stores. Compared to Zermatt, Zurich was pretty crowded and noisy but there were still many amazing shops and restaurants there.
Taking a walk...

On this cloudy morning, we explored Zurich. It was quite calming and tranquil that day to take a stroll.

Läderach...
Known for their exquisite chocolates, one of the many places we explored in this Zurich includes the chocolate store, Läderach.

There was a variety chocolate coming in different shapes, sizes, and colors. In the picture to the right, you can see a mountain of chocolate, resembling Mt. Matterhorn from Zermatt! You also could try a few samples of chocolates, so I definitely recommend checking these delicious sweets out!
