NYC
Right before Christmas Eve, I took a short day trip to NYC with my father and grandmother to experience the wonderful holidays in the great big city!
The Grand Central Station...
To get to the city, we stopped by a train station and got off at the Grand Central Terminal, right at the center of the city. This popular station was crowded with people especially at this time of year! The ceiling and wall art was super detailed and stunning. The station is called Grand Central for a reason! It was absolutely huge inside, but once you step out of the station, you are met with immense buildings that tower over your head. As someone who does not live in a big city, this view was overwhelming and spectacular in person.

The Edge...
The highlight of our day trip for me would definitely be going on "The Edge," which is an outdoor observation deck that overlooks the beautiful city of New York. Our booked trip to "The Edge" was at around 5:00, which was right after sunset. This night view of NYC was surreal with hundreds of window lights sparkling from below. You could practically see everything, including Times Square, The Rockefeller Center, and more. There was even a section with glass flooring, and if you are not scared of heights, it is the perfect place for you to take a picture of yourself sitting above the city.

Additionally, because the wait was a bit long, the line for "The Edge" goes through a futuristic museum that talks about Hudson Yard, which is where "The Edge" is located. Even the elevator ride to the top of the building immerses you in a digital reality.

Rockefeller Center...
To end the day, we walked around Rockefeller Center. The big and bright Rockefeller Center Christmas tree definitely caught my eye! That specific area was the most crowded, but also the most beautiful.

Overall, our day trip was simple but extraordinary. The city was so lively during the holidays and there were many wonderful views and lots of Christmas spirit. It was nice that I traveled with a small group so that finding spaces in restaurants and walking around the city was easier.
