Puerto Vallarta
As Summer came to an end, my family and I wanted to travel somewhere relaxing. With the time we had, we thought it would be fun to go to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We stayed in the resort Hyatt Ziva and it was such a pleasant 3 days! In a resort like this, you tend to forget how hot the weather is. The place had a bunch of infinity pools where you could capture perfect views of the sunset. Despite to mention, the food was TERRIFIC! The trip was full of excitement, food, and sunsets-- this is a trip I will never forget!
The Beach...
My family and I spent most of our time on the beach. It was such a great place to relax and take photos! The photo here on the right is one of my favorites that I took while running across the sand.

The Food...
In Hyatt Ziva, there are many kinds of restaurants. There is a buffet that has a different menu for each meal, a Mexican restaurant, an Asian restaurant, and a restaurant called "Blaze" that has different locations all around the resort. Blaze was our go-to and every meal we had there was delicious. They served different kinds of food each meal, and at night, they had an Italian menu. Other times, you could visit and try the seafood menu which was located right by the ocean.

Hill of the Cross...
At this viewpoint, we could overlook Puerto Vallarta! It was a stunning scene and definitely worth the 6 minute climb. Even though it didn't take that long, the hill was super steep and there was a good amount of stair cases. At the same time, you are climbing up while under a hot, blazing sun. However, I felt super good when I got to the destination because the top was breezy and calming.

The Taco Tour...

5 different locations, 5 different tacos to try. These are a must-try!
During the tour, we also got the chance to observe the city and digest between each restaurant. Additionally, many of the tacos we had came with a special drink!

Many of the tacos we had were made of handmade tortillas. These handmade tortillas were super fresh and delicious.

First up, we had chilaquiles. These small, fried, tortilla chips are only eaten during the morning. Along with the taco, we drank some refreshing hibiscus water.

This taco stand served us 2 different kinds of taco: shrimp taco and fish taco, both equally amazing. Something unique about this is that the taco comes with a teryaki-like soy sauce that brought out the flavor of the taco. We also had some carrot-lime juice with this one.

Next, we stopped by a taco stand and ordered the carnitas. This taco had pork wrapped with 2 tortillas and was served with some coke.

This taco is called taco de nada because it has nothing inside, but it's coated with a bunch of ingredients on the top like flavorful chicken and the starfruit which really topped it off. Sweet rice water comes with this.

Last but not least, we ended the tour with quesadilla de birria. This taco is typically eaten with goat, cheese, onions, and more. Such a nice way to end the food tour! I was definitely full after this taco heaven.
Overall, this trip was full of food and fun! It was short, but memorable. I highly recommend traveling here if you are a foodie or just a person who loves relaxation and gorgeous views + sunsets!
